Interalia pays tribute to Dr Simon Park (1964-2021), the passionate naturalist whose work revealed the wonders of the microbial world and whose approach challenged easy disciplinary definitions. Through microphotography, videography and writing Simon opened up invisible worlds to others and provided a space for learning, for wonder and for speculation.
Alexa Wright is London-based artist working across a range of media including photography, video, interactive installation and book works. She has worked at the intersection of art and medical science since the late-1990s and often works with people with mental and physical differences to make works that address questions of human identity and otherness through qualities like vulnerability and empathy. She has been involved in several long term inter-disciplinary collaborations, for example with Alf Linney, Professor of Medical Physics and computer scientists at UCL (1999-2010) and Hybrid Bodies, a unique international, interdisciplinary project based in Toronto, Canada that brought together medics, visual artists, a philosopher and social scientists to explore the emotional and psychological effects of heart transplantation (2007-19).

Adrian Holme is a teacher, writer and artist. He is an Associate Lecturer on the MA Art and Science, Central Saint Martins, and his cross-disciplinary background encompasses biology, fine art and information science. He is also a Lecturer on the BA Hons. Illustration course at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, where he coordinates and delivers a humanities / critical theory element. His art practice extends across drawing, installation and performance, and he also works as a commercial copy writer and editor.
Justin Remes is an associate professor of film studies at Iowa State University. He is the author of ‘Absence in Cinema: The Art of Showing Nothing’ (Columbia UP, 2020) and ‘Motion(less) Pictures: The Cinema of Stasis’ (Columbia UP, 2015). He has also written articles for JCMS: The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, Cinema Journal, and Screen. His current book project is entitled ‘Found Footage Films: A Work of Experimental Scholarship’.

She produces artscience collaborations, artist-in-residence programs, media art projects as well as various projects intertwining art, science, technology, and innovation in business, industry, scientific organizations and cultural organizations. She also holds workshops, runs research projects, and gives talks about developments on the intersection of art, science, technology, and business.
