Ron Wilburn earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania. He taught in the Philosophy Dept. of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for twenty years, where he billed his research as “The Best Epistemology on the Strip,” before following his heart to Canada. He specializes in theories of knowledge and issues concerning metaphysical and moral realism.

Many psychedelic proponents feel a need to ground their claims for the evaluative significance of chemically induced mystical experience in prior metaphysical claims about higher realities endowed with special moral authority.
