Stack creates biological abstract paintings, ink collages & installations informed by science, science fiction, and the natural world. Her work alludes to fictional organisms and plays with the tension between organic and synthetic. In addition to her studio practice, she is a Fine Arts educator who has taught at the University of Minnesota Art Department, The Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and other colleges in the Twin Cities area. Stack’s artwork is recognized through her national and international exhibitions at venues including New York Hall of Science (NYC), SciArt Initiative (NYC), The Royal Scottish Academy (Edinburgh, Scotland), Sam Francis Gallery (CA), A.I.R.
