About Marius Kwint

Dr Marius Kwint is Reader in Visual Culture in the School of Art and Design at the University of Portsmouth, UK. In 2012 and 2013, he was lead curator of the highly popular exhibition, Brains: the Mind as Matter, on the visual and material culture of neuroscience at Wellcome Collection, London, and at MSI Manchester. From 1999 to 2008, he served as Departmental Lecturer in History of Art and Fellow of St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford. Prior to that he was Senior Research Fellow in History of Design jointly at the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and held a fellowship at the Houghton Library, Harvard University. Marius Kwint has contributed essays to numerous exhibition catalogues and monographs on contemporary art. His most recent major project was co-curating, with Sundaram Tagore, the Venice Biennale official collateral event Frontiers Reimagined: Art That Connects Us, featuring 44 artists from around the world on the subject of cultural crossing-points.

Suki Chan is a London based artist and film director. Her films take audiences on an immersive journey and shines a light on subjects that are under-represented across the human condition: from dementia, sight-loss, identity to belonging.
