Brain Connectivity Leap 2.0 (Unity + Leap Motion + Oculus Rift)
This is version 2.0 of pet (ongoing) project that I thought was worth sharing. It’s basically an app in which you can interact with a 3D reconstruction of a human brain and its network of connectivity graphs.

About Filipe Rodrigues
My name is Filipe Rodrigues, I was born and raised in Lisbon, where I also did most of my studies.
In my first year of college I actually ended up studying Architecture at the Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST). It was certainly not the most well pondered decision I ever made but it sure was a lot of fun and I got to learn some things that I still find useful today. Eventually though, it did become clear that it wasn't the right path for me. At that time, I enrolled in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia - Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-UNL), where I got both my BSc and MSc (having jusy briefly wandered through the Politecnico di Milano for an Erasmus semester). Whilst working on the thesis for my Masters, I was stationed at the Instituto de Biofísica e Engenharia Biomédica (IBEB), under the supervision of Dr. Hugo Alexandre Ferreira, who introduced me to Unity, Virtual Reality (VR) and many other things. That is when and where I developed the work being presented here - Brain Connectivity Leap (BCL) - along with some other VR applications that are currently featured in a live sciences museum in Mafra. As cursory as BCL was, it did spike my interest in Neuroscience, and prompted me to reach out to what is probably the most reputed research centre in Portugal, the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown (CCU). Luckily enough, that is where I have been ever since the begining of this year, studying the neural basis of temporal perception as a research technician in Joseph Paton's lab.
