Marc Wittmann studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland (1989-1994). He received his Ph.D. (1997) at the Institute of Medical Psychology, Medical School, University of Munich. Between 2000 and 2004 he was head of the Generation Research Program at the Human Science Center Bad Tölz, University of Munich. From 2004 to he was Research Fellow at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Diego. He is currently employed at the Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Health, Freiburg, Germany. He has written two books on the topic of time perception. Felt Time has been published in 2016 by MIT Press; Altered States of Consciousness is going to appear in August 2018, also published by MIT Press.

Felt Time
