The visual artist Keun Wook Ji incorporates particle physics into his artwork. Actual Dynamics is a series of unique pencil drawings on canvas, which focus on the collision mechanisms of particle physics. The abstract motions of elementary movements become a partial data visualisation of particle collisions which, when combined, form one large visual algorithm. These are reformulated to scatter again and then re-combine – an exploration into the visual possibilities of perceiving the movement of elementary particles. The abstract but elaborate straight lines and curves, the empty voids from the partition of space, and the vivid colours represent elements of dynamics that cannot be substituted machines.
